There is always a very good reason why your dog won't stop barking
Few things are more frustrating than not being able to stop a barking dog. Often people call me saying we have tried everything. "We've tried the electric collar, tried shouting at it, the throwing the chain on the floor, tapping it on the nose and it just doesn't work… we are at our wits end!"
The problem with all of the above methods are that they are all simply attempts to treat the symptom whilst igonoring the real cause. This is often what makes it even more frustrating – when you don't understand why the dog is barking so much – "it just doesn't make sense!"
Here are some of the most common problems I can help with:
- Barking in the car
- Barking when left alone
- Barking when put outside
- Barking at people or dogs or things
- Barking at “nothing”
- Running along the fence barking
This is the simple, gentle and natural way to stop dogs barking. It is not complicated or tricky but very straightforward. It requires no force, no fear, or electric collars. It is a simple method that the dogs understands and responds to.

Kip stops fence barking at night
This behaviour ceased quickly and easily
Hi Dan
Within 24 hours of your visit there was a huge difference in our home. I hadn’t realized how stressed the dogs were, but during your visit both Kip and Rommel became much more relaxed and so did we.
In particular the following change has been remarkable : Defending the territory by barking at the boundary fence, mainly at night, poor neighbours!
We followed your instructions and this behaviour ceased quickly and easily.

I was amazed how effective such a gentle approach could be. I am so glad we were able to achieve the necessary discipline without the use of any harsh or painful methods or devices advocated by others as this has always been unacceptable to us.
We are delighted with the transformation you have helped us achieve and have passed your details to a number of other dog owners already. Thank you so much. I am happy to be a referee for anyone who may be enquiring about your services.
Cheers,

Barking Winnie stops barking!
Barking, barking, and more barking
I got Winnie for Christmas (wonderful present) but after 7 months I was beginning to think I had a toy wind-up dog where I couldn’t remove the batteries to stop her barking!
Along came Doggy Dan to save the day and the dog. After 4 hours with Dan I felt I was in charge again and had the puppy I had always wished for.
The ‘magic’ words were working!
Through Dan’s calm and patient attitude he showed me how I could control Winnie’s insistent barking and behaviour and show her it was all okay because I was okay. She didn’t need to be the boss and protect me, I could do it.
My husband, children and friends have all commented on what a different dog Winnie is now. She’s calmer and much more relaxed.
She now looks at me for trust and decision making.
Oh, and the magic words – Thank You!
So thank you Dan, you’re amazing.
Love Sharon and Winnie
Completely different dogs!
Barking and food aggression
Hi Dan,
Jemma and Tilly are both doing really well, it's amazing to see them become completely different dogs before our eyes!!!!
Jemma is no longer 'precious' around her food, we still separate them at meal times but when we let them both out afterwards, she doesnt have 'crazy eyes' with her heckles up anymore.
Tilly has pretty much stopped barking at everything that moves outside now, often when the dogs next door start barking, she will only go outside for a look and then come back inside….!!!!
Anyway, Thank you so so so much for your help with the girls, calling you around was the best thing we ever did!!!!
Thanks again

Gunna is a changed girl
Barking, and more settled
Things are going extremely well with Gunna.
On the Tuesday following your visit I had the Sky TV man came around and Gunna started barking. I opened the window and did what you had shown me, she stopped barking and walked off and never barked at him again, even when he walked into our back section !
I went and visited some friends who look after Gunna if we go away and they were amazed at the change in Gunna. She now comes when called, and has stopped jumping up, and when we were sitting down when they pushed her down without saying anything and it stopped immediately.
After we come home has been the biggest change with Gunna. She is much more settled and relaxed when we come home from being out.
Still early days yet but a huge improvement since your visit.
Kind regards

New baby arrives
Dogs became nervous and started barking
We asked Dan to come and help us after the birth of our first child. Until Chloe was born, our two dogs, Bailey (a siberian husky) and Milo (a jack russell), were very much the ‘babies’ of the house. When Chloe arrived the dynamic within the house changed for them, and both dogs struggled to adapt.
Milo became nervous and insecure, always hiding under the car at any noise, and she began barking at people and other dogs. Bailey just decided he wanted more attention and started “talking” to us continually.
Thanks to Dan’s amazing work we’ve been able to gain back our confident little Milo and docile, quiet Bailey! Both dogs adore Chloe and the three of them spend hours playing ball together!
What we love about Dan’s method is the gentleness that it employs. It has helped us to see our role in the dogs’ lives, and has allowed us to pass calm, consistent messages onto the animals to make them feel secure and happy. Isn’t that just what we all want?
The ongoing support has also been great, and it helps to know that if things go astray we can call and ask for his advice. Thank You Dan!
All the best,
Toni and Sue Ira – North Shore
Peppa used to bark at everything!
Barking! Barking! and a little bit of nipping
Peppa is a real part of our family, a 4 year old wire foxy who we have had all her life. She has always been yappy, barking at everything and everyone. When we go for walks she is a nightmare, leading right out the front, slinking into hunt mode when approaching another dog, walking in the line of upcoming pedestrians and giving runners a nip of the ankle if given half a chance.
The last straw was when a neighbour called dog control and registered a barking complaint. The dog controller officer recommended a barking collar which was not going to be an option for us – I could not bear the thought of it.
So, it was get some help or re-home Peppa. After an afternoon with Dan, we had an action plan and what a difference. One week on, Peppa’s barking is so much better the neighbours on both sides have commented on the difference in her behaviour and how much less she is barking.
We are making progress with the lead walking too.
We would highly recommend Dan – what a difference!
We are so grateful for your help and have been spreading the word about your good work. Dom and I would be happy to provide a reference for your help, should anyone want one and feel free to use the following as a reference.
Kind regards
Mandy, Dom and the family
